In crisis is opportunity

Some 400 industry professionals gathered at the Hilton Walt Disney World in Orlando Mar. 30-Apr. 1, for the annual Life Insurance Conference. Hosted by LIMRA, LOMA, SOA and ACLI, the conference focused on the theme of "Expert Guidance in a Sea of Uncertain Times." Attendees were there looking for answers, and they found them with speaking sessions such as "The Financial Crisis--What Does It Mean for Life Insurance?", "Global Demographics and the Impact on Investment Opportunities" and "Crisis Response: Riding the Wave of Change." As you can see, the topics (and speakers) did not shy away from the problems at hand. And they were clear in their suggestions of making it through these tough times. From speaker to speaker, there was a consistent message: don't sit on the sidelines. Many today will hunker down in a protection mode, but this is an opportunity for advisors to take advantage and market and promote themselves like never before.
