LifeHealthPro.com signals a new era for ASJ

If there's one thing I've learned from two decades in the communications world, it's that change is inevitable -- or at least you've got to learn to see it coming, lest you be one of the legions of permanently unemployed newspaper journalists reinventing themselves as web consultants (or Starbucks barristas).

And while I broached this theme last month, change has already caught up to us here in the Summit Business Media family, with some exciting transformation underway for the way we work online. October sees the debut of the all-new LifeHealthPro.com, a "portal" website which will act as a new gateway for readers formerly used to visiting Agent's Sales Journal's web product, ASJOnline.com.

Our all-new site effectively harnesses the news, feature and analysis resources of ASJ and three of our fellow publications -- National Underwriter Life & Health, Senior Market Advisor and Life Insurance Selling -- building a single platform where readers can get the best of all four publications in one dynamic location. As a result, you'll see expanded, real-time news coverage of issues facing the life insurance, health and financial services industry, plus a more fulfilling venue for the litany of social media so many of you rely upon for instant updates on the business (as well as being an important forum to make your voice heard when it comes to issues affecting your practice).

We've also done our research and have enlisted the blogging talents of some of the most connected individuals in the industry, to provide insightful and thought-provoking analysis on the ways politics and the economy impact everything from FIAs to life settlements.

We are sure that you'll find LifeHealthPro.com's approach to be the most comprehensive on the web, a one-stop location with appeal to both seasoned veterans as well as those just getting their feet wet in the financial services arena. In addition to an ever-changing feed of original news pieces, you can also get considerable depth in our various "channels." These are full subsections devoted to the worlds of life insurance, annuities, health insurance sales and financial planning, plus in-depth resources on approaching individual markets (seniors, Gen X, the affluent, for instance) and how to more effectively run your own practice. And you'll have instantaneous access to current issues and the full archives of all four of our print magazines.

Please drop by and see what LifeHealthPro.com has to offer. It's a bold new platform and we hope to help revolutionize the way you learn about our industry and your opportunities to interact with other readers across the nation and around the world.
