The Age of Opportunity study, recently conducted by The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., revealed a wealth of information about retirees and near-retirees: they're positive about their future, they're independent-minded ... and they want to be like Betty White. The ubiquitous White, who turned 90 on Tuesday, was chosen because "she knows how to laugh," said respondents. This fun-loving quality beat out competitors like Martha Stewart, 70 (admired for being "strong and resilient"), Steven Tyler, 63 (who received accolade for his "free spirit") and George Foreman, 63 (regarded highly for being "entrepreneurial"). Nearly 2,000 people participated in the survey.
