What is there to learn about leadership from the men who forged the United States? Plenty. The Founding Fathers had courage of conviction. Leaders in a global economy must have steady conviction in the face of incredible challenges. The Founders understood the sanctity of sacrifice. Sacrificial leadership is selfless, not self-serving. In all their wisdom, the Founders still valued the practice of faith. The executive model should not be a separation mentality, but rather a “responsibility toward” philosophy. Through persecution, hardships and struggles, the Founders still knew the power of purpose. Successful management today knows where to properly place their employees and what tools to equip them with to achieve their goals.
