A thief who steals your car is not so different from a financial advisor who steals your money. What makes a crooked advisor particularly revolting is that they not only stole your money, but they betrayed your confidence to do it. Former stock broker Harvey Morrow was convicted in December 2011 for bilking his friend and client of $1 million and then murdering that client after being confronted about the theft. According to prosecutors, former broker Ralph Edward Thomas Jr. misappropriated $838,000 form clients that included an 85-year-old dementia sufferer and a trust fund for a cerebral palsy patient. While working at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Ryan Kimura embezzled $1.5 million from a company owned by his father-in-law. Over a six-year period, Dennis Bolze defrauded personal friends and fellow church members of $21 million.
