MetLife introduces DI product for specialized occupations

ALSO: Industry news from Life Sales, Digital Insurance, OptifiNow, LaserAPP and Oak Street

MetLife launched MetLife Income GuardDisability Insurance, specifically designed to provide consumers with the ability to customize their coverage to meet specific needs. This more personalized level of protection includes features designed to meet the unique demands of a variety of specialized occupations, including most medical and dental professionals, pharmacists, attorneys, accountants and white collar executives. MetLife Income Guard offers physicians and dentists “Specialty your Occupation” coverage that addresses the consequences of not being able to perform the material and substantial duties of a chosen specialty at the time of claim (even if the professional is still able to work in a different occupation.) As an example, if a physician employed as a neurosurgeon were to become disabled and unable to perform the duties of his or her occupation at the time of claim, MetLife Income Guard could still provide that individual with the disability benefit, even if he or she eventually were able to start a successful new career.

Money Concepts Capital Corp., a provider of professional financial planning services, made its forms available on Laser App Anywhere from Laser App Software. Money Concepts Capital Corp.’s advisors will be able to conduct business from nearly any location and any device.

Laser App Anywhere allows advisors to pre-fill forms from their Customer Relationship Management System (CRM), reduce not-in-good order (NIGO), and send information to other core business systems from the convenience of any device. This improves the process advisors use daily to fill out the paperwork, allowing advisors to focus on their clients’ needs. Forms can be launched from the advisor’s wholesale broker-dealer’s account opening or CRM system.
