Global Atlantic Financial Group (Global Atlantic) announced Oct. 2 that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Commonwealth Annuity and Life Insurance Co., completed its acquisition of Aviva USA’s life insurance arm from Athene Holding Ltd.

The finalization of the deal comes on the same day that British insurer, Aviva Plc, completed the sale of its U.S. life and annuities unit, Aviva USA, to Athene.

The acquired business and team will remain in Des Moines, Iowa. The Group will be led by Mike Miller, who will report to Nicholas Von Moltke, president and chief operating officer of the Global Atlantic Life & Annuity business.

Last week, Global Atlantic announced that they would be acquiring Forethought Financial Group Inc.

Cash Future Payments, a service provider in the annuity sales sector, announced last week the full deployment of the company’s website. As a forum for selling structured settlements or annuities, Cash Future Payments offers users the ability to sell their unwanted annuities both quickly and securely.

The website strives to offer individuals looking to sell a one-stop resource. After clients choose which qualified offer best fits their needs they are able receive a lump sum for their annuity as soon as the sale is processed and approved.

The Impact Partnership has acquired Retirement Income Network, a membership only digital marketing association that caters to retirement advisors.

The Impact Partnership, a marketing organization that operates in the annuities and insurance industry, sees the acquisition as giving them a strategic advantage over their competitors.
