NFL fans take a pounding [infographic]

While NFL athletes battle it out on the field, their fans have a battle of their own: the bulge. A recent poll by Nutrisystem Inc. found that 25 percent of NFL fans gain an average 10 pounds during the football season. What happened the day after the NFL’s two best teams went head to head last year? Orders for Nutrisystem’s men’s program doubled, the weightloss product provider says.

We’ve long heard how dangerous playing in the NFL can be what with injuries and concussions and all, but now it appears watching football can be rather dangerous for fans’ health – especially those whose teams lose.
