How to reach millennials in the workplace [Infographic]

A survey by The Hartford, the 2013 Millennial Leadership Study, has found that millennials or those born 1982 – 2000 are already successful in the workplace. “This is the year that millennials are finally taken seriously as leaders and we end the millennial-bashing once and for all,” said Lindsey Pollak, a best-selling author and spokesperson for The Hartford’s My Tomorrow campaign.

In the report, Pollak explains that as millennials grow up, they are taking more important roles in business, government, communities and culture. Pollak also gives a few pointers for both millennials and boomers in the workforce. For millennials looking to enter the workforce, Pollak provides advice about what to look for in a potential employer such as flexible working hours and other benefits. For those already in the workforce, she provides clues on generational integration and raises the alarm that employers must educate millennials about their benefits, such as life and health insurance.
