Signed into law by President Obama on March 23rd, 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) made sweeping changes to the nation's health care system. After two years of intense debate, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on the constitutionality of PPACA in March 2012. On June 28, 2012, in one of the most anticipated decisions of the century, the Court ruled to uphold PPACA 5-4.
